This policy explains how Jember Forge Technologies LLC (“Jember Forge”, “we”, “us”) collects, uses, and protects information when you use our software and services. We are the data controller for that information.
1. Information we collect
Account information
When you create an account we collect your name, work email address, and the professional details you provide to establish eligibility — such as service number, rank, station or unit, agency, and country.
Content you create
Our applications store the records you produce while using them, which may include case records, written observations, measurements, structured checklists, photographs, and generated reports. You control what you enter.
Technical information
We collect limited technical data necessary to operate the service, such as device type, application version, and error diagnostics.
2. How we use information
- To provide the service — authenticating you, storing your records, and synchronising them across your devices.
- To verify professional eligibility where a product is restricted to qualified personnel.
- To maintain security, prevent misuse, and diagnose faults.
- To comply with legal obligations.
We do not sell personal information. We do not use the content you create to advertise to you.
3. Service providers
We use a small number of processors to deliver the service. They act on our instructions and may not use your information for their own purposes:
- Google Firebase — authentication and database hosting.
- Anthropic — where a product offers analysis features, the relevant case text is transmitted for processing and a result is returned. This happens only when you actively request an analysis.
4. Retention and deletion
We retain your information for as long as your account remains active. You may delete your account from within the application at any time. Deleting your account removes your account record and the case records associated with it from our systems. Deletion is permanent and cannot be reversed, so export anything you need to keep before proceeding.
Where your organisation, or the law governing your profession, requires records to be retained, it remains your responsibility to preserve them independently of our software.
5. Security
Information is transmitted over encrypted connections and stored using access controls that restrict each account to its own records. Some material — including photographs in certain products — may be held only on your device, in which case its security depends on your device passcode and encryption. No system is perfectly secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
6. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, export, or delete your personal information, to object to or restrict certain processing, and to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority. To exercise any of these rights, contact us at the address below.
7. International transfers
We are established in the United States and our service providers may process information in the United States and other countries. Where information is transferred internationally, we rely on appropriate safeguards offered by those providers.
8. Children
Our software is intended for professional use by adults. It is not directed to children, and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 16.
9. Changes
We may update this policy as our products change. Material changes will be reflected in the effective date above, and where appropriate we will notify you within the application.
